For car parks.
I had a though of using ‘£’ if it is a pay and display.
For example “[P] £”
Then perhaps use a single £ if it is less than £5/day, ££ between £5 and £20 and £££ if more than £20/day.

Unsure if we want to list free car parks as being council run or private.
A council free space, if it is a 2 hour space and you run over the time you can be fined. If it is a private car park, if it says 2 hours and has scary writing just ignore it (and any piece of paper they stick to your windscreen!), hope they don’t scam you by putting a clamp on your car also.
I know we can’t word it like that as if you do get clamped Waze should not be responsible, but just saying “[P] 2hr Council” or “[P] 2hr Private” might be an idea.
As editors, I don’t think we want the job of maintaining a database of car parks, who runs them and how expensive they are. Simply marking where they are should be sufficient.
Generally, I think public any car park that is sign posted with a blue [P] sign should be labelled as such in Waze. This includes public car parks, multi-storeys, motorway service areas and laybys. Other customer car parks that are only for use by patrons probably shouldn’t be labelled this way.
Interesting approach but I think not many free parking nowaday. Government needs money, right? I believe the parking fee will keep changing and going up ![]()
Tim you shouldn’t have bothered. Now we’re getting ideas everywhere. Why don’t we all just WAIT and see what Waze comes up with, not put stupid [P] in, and maybe ask the company if they can even put a parking icon on the system and client? That’d be a good start…
Also I don’t remember anyone agreeing to that, so don’t wiki it.

As Gas Stations (AKA Petrol Stations) is now available to all editors on WME the “landmarks” wiki page is no longer in draft and we should try and work to it.

Of course if you have anything you’d like to see or think is wrong please discuss here!
Too many of this kind of landmark (On Street Parking, Pay and Display).
I’ll delete them

Wow! Nearly as bad as the guy in Lincoln who started drawing all the houses in … I left them as they’re too small to appear in the client anyway:

Hi,
If these peeps actually spent the time editing, naming or correcting streets and roads and not adding these damn landmarks in the map might actually be a lot better!
Although, given some of the peoples contributions, it could be worse! ![]()

Well…
I have almost finished checking and correcting ALL roads and junctions in my province (3421 km2, 1.1 mln inhabitants). New editors have nothing more to do than add parking lots and landmarks…
I got another one. All pubs, banks, restaurants, etc are there  . I’ll leave them there too. But all the parking lots I mentioned before have to be deleted as they will affect traffic report
anyway, pm this parking lots maker already.
