How many driving miles do I need to do to get pass level 1 and reach level 2
If you are talking about editor levels, driving miles don’t have much effect. See Global requirements as amended by UK self-managment. And if you haven’t read at least some of the Wiki, start here.

LEVEL 1
3,251 POINTS / 660 EDITS
The above is what I am currently at, I know this post is a year old but how many more points or edits are required to reach level 2?, There have been some roads I go down that seem to be problomatic i.e. temporary road closures etc but need a level 2 to either add or confirm. I’ve had a look at the link and it does state that ranks are no longer automatic
Ranks above rank 2 are no longer automatic. Rank 2 is. I automatically became a 2 when I had reached the required amount of edits.
I just can’t remember what amount that was… 1000 or 2000 I think…
It changed a while ago and is currently as in the table in the link provided by ditchi56. You need 3000 edits and then you will get raised to L2.
After that you need a minimum of the number of edits shown for each level, and then apply to the Waze UK Admins to get promoted.
Does the edit count only go up when edits are approved by L2+? I’ve made a bucket load of edits in the areas I regularly travel but it seems that as most have been pending approval for a few weeks my edit count hasn’t gone up.
My understanding is the edits will only count when they have been approved. That said, the whole scoring system has been playing up for a couple of weeks now, only going up every few days instead of every day. The best place to look is your waze page
https://www.waze.com/user/editor/ConfuzzledDuck
This shows you have 44 edits counted and another 37 from yesterday to be added at the next update.
That’s a helpful link, thanks. I notice that the dashboard reports different numbers to that page, so I’ll put that down to the scoring system’s idiosyncrasies. I’ll keep editing!
