Can I have the following unlocked to level 1 please to let me update the southbound services where a road has been closed?

As a Level 1 editor, I’m sorry but you won’t be able to add a closure to a road. Can you please let us know which segment needs to be altered and the reason why, and we’ll do it for you?

I planned on removing a road segment to reflect the new design of the service area car park and not add a closure. This shouldn’t present an issue.

I’ve finished the car park change and removed the hack I’d previously added to the fuel station segment.

However, I can’t delete the street segment in the fuel station as I’m not a level 2+ editor. Is this a new restriction? I’m sure I’ve deleted segments before without issue. Given the amount of edits required to get to level 2, I can’t see myself ever achieving it. This kind of restriction is quite dispiriting…

I have removed the odd section of road.

The range of edits a new editor can do have been changed recently to protect the map from new editors accidentally (or even occasionally, deliberately) making incorrect changes and causing problems. That said, we need all the good editors we can get, so don’t get disheartened, there is still a lot you can do.
Getting to 3k edits is not hard, particularly where you are editing. Somerset has one of the highest number of roads without speed limits set, currently there are about 13,000 road segments that need checking and speed data adding. You will also find many towns and villages that do not have the “street” and “city” name on every section of road. All these, plus adding all the new places you will see on the way round (these will initially need approving, but you will still get the edits) will very soon add up and you will get to L2 before you expect.
