Level 3: Troy, Ohio; Roundabout construction; road closed

The roundabout at the intersection of S Dorset Road and McKaig Rd in Troy, Ohio is under construction. It appears that the new round-about has already been added to Waze. However, the entire intersection/roundabout is closed until an estimated completion date of August 16th.

Could someone update Waze to make the entire roundabout as closed?

As a side note, I’ve been reporting this as closed in the ios app multiple times for weeks – including a photograph of the construction. After reporting the closure, Waze will route me around that intersection that time, but it doesn’t seem to “stick” – even though I mark the closure as “long term” road construction. Next time this happens on a different road, is there something I can do differently in the app to make it stick? Or do I need to post in the forum? Thanks!

I added a closure through August 16th at 5:00 PM as indicated on the Troy website. Thanks for letting us know!

Whether in-app closures “stick” or not depends on a combination of factors, including the trust level of users and the number of users entering an in-app closure. It certainly can’t hurt to enter a closure from your app, but if you notice it not sticking then posting here will definitely allow us to enter a closure from the map editor that will stick.
