It’s not clear why the entrances to that community so complicated. Simpler to make all the internal roads private and be done with it.
Mike-1323 I knew where the issue was, and that was not the point. They need to learn how to properly permalink in order to receive help.
Yet your response was minimally helpful and not at all instructive. If you wished to teach proper permalinking technique then at least link to a relevant page in the wiki if not provide instruction directly in your response.
Based on your brusque response I (and possibly others) assumed that you followed the permalink, didn’t find the mentioned problem and responded as you did. I apologize for interrupting your teaching process as I was unaware of it.
I give them the opportunity to search and learn. If you spoon feed every single little thing, you are only teaching them to be dependent on you. You know, the whole teach them how to fish thing. If they had come back and said, I don’t know how…then I would have given them a bit more help. With this situation, it looked like they were well aware of how to permalink, they probably just copied it wrong, etc. Of course, I knew where the right area was, that’s how I knew the permalink wasn’t correct. Do you really think I’m that incompetent, or lazy? I am not.
Furthermore, many editors would not have even responded to let the editor know there was an error. If it’s not done right, they move on.
If you would like to question my actions in the future, please send me a PM instead of attempting rude sarcasm. My comment to you, was letting you know what I did, plain and simple. It did not contain any type of personal attack. Please stop being so defensive, and adjust your attitude.
