Level3→L2 Unlock: District of Columbia - Washington (North C

Map Editors Community United States US Unlock And Update Requests

My Level: 2
Reason for request: Left turns from North Carolina Ave NE going both directions are not allowed here. Headed northeast, can’t turn left on 14th Pl NE as reported by UR. Headed southwest, I also noticed you can’t turn left on Constitution Ave NE because of same median. Segments are locked at L3.

Requested locks have been lowered.

Thanks,

Thank you. I tried to edit but it still wouldn’t let me. Not sure why. Maybe because there are other L3 segments connected to that intersection?

4

True. To change anything at a junction, including turn restrictions, have to have rank >= lock level of all segments that connect at junction.

All segments at junction now <= 2.

Thanks. All done. I also disallowed the sharp left turn from eastbound North Carolina to westbound Constitution. You can re-lock all segments now.

Up to L3 again.

Thanks for the assist,

-Terry

My pleasure! I’m at 5k edits now, another couple months and I’ll be R3 and at that point I will be able to help more without having to ask for unlocks as often. Also I’m signed up for the surprise mapraid in July. That should be fun!
