We have URs from Gilchrist Dr
Waze tells the driver to cross a nasty (but very narrow) median to enter their driveway.

Is there a way to provide better navigation that doesn’t involved splitting the road?
Should splitting the road be considered, as the current layout is causing issues?
How should I respond to the Reporter?
Thanks
There are thousands of roads with medians that do not necessitate splitting.
It would be great to have a ‘Median’ setting in Waze which could then direct you to the correct side of the road.
Tell user to buy 4x4.
The only other way would be to map the driveway as private road, and restrict the turn from the road, but we don’t map driveways…
:?:
I would disagree. One is labelled ‘Turn not Allowed’ In that location the turn not allowed is a right into the driveway. Another is ‘wrong driving directions’ ditto
Another potential option is adding an entry point like this

Again far from ideal.
Might just need to let the Reporter know that the median is unable to handled in Waze?
All at the same time. Looks like the user is spamming them.
The thing is every GPS navigation system would tell the user to turn into the driveway there, Waze is no exception.
Agreed, it’s to the point of spam now. We’ll just wait for the rate-limiting to kick in.
Assuming the true issue being reported is the need to cross the median strip to enter the driveway, I think the correct response here is to do nothing. Waze has navigated them to the correct destination, and at the point they’re at the solution is obvious - find a safe place to do a U-turn, which is not far away. I’d put this into the same category as if someone complained that they got navigated to a side of the road that had “No parking” signage.
Waze is a navigational tool to help people to get where they need to get to, avoiding traffic and other issues along the way. It’s an aid to drivers, not a substitute for drivers using their brains.
No reply for Reporter. So closed off the URs
