Reason for request: I was in the area yesterday and it would appear that roadworks are under way at this location - at the time they had linked the two roundabouts together to form one large one.
For example both are currently configured so that you can’t make a complete circuit of either of them - if you wanted to go from Pontefract Rd and then down the A639 dual carriageway towards Leeds again you would have to take the connecting A639 between the roundabouts to the smaller top one to come back down to the larger roundabout again.
I think the single A639 roundabout connecting road needs to be split into two and then the segments between the two on each roundabout removed to form one large, oddly shaped roundabout if possible. I’m not 100% sure how routing would cope with this though.
It sounds temporary based on http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/road-projects/m1-junction-44-improvement-leeds/ but the detail on there isn’t great.
