Same comment as the previous one. I’m not sure whether we should be changing the map or pestering Waze to put things back as they were. But I’ve downlocked it anyway so you can do the speed limits at least.

I’m happy to wait if we get a response to the enquiry thread.
Otherwise I was thinking that the entry / exit connection points are almost 180 deg opposite on this roundabout. By moving them closer together / further apart Waze might revert back to the old instructions of nth exit.
I’ve done a test on this junction along the route of the UR, the segment connections have been moved from 174 degs apart (within +/-15 degs of 180) to 165 deg (maybe still on the margin of error). Can easily be changed back if things change.
Actually scratch that 180 degrees would be straight on at the most basic roundabout setup of 4 roads, so I don’t know therefore I’m holding off adjusting anything else.
Still thinking that the angle of connection with the roundabout should be perpendicular.
iainhouse knows more about these matters than most, I expect he’ll be along later.

I have come along. I have looked at the UR. It has reminded me of something that happened over 2 years ago.
At that time, Waze utterly screwed up instructions for complex roundabouts. It took them over 2 weeks to fix it and I spent most of those 2 weeks coordinating reports from all over the world and screaming at HQ for - not even a solution, but an acknowledgement of the problem. I nearly quit Waze - and I did remove the Global Champ icon from my signature and declare I never wanted to be seen as a representative of Waze the company.
Can you detect the stress? It all comes back so easily!
At that time, the problem was that Waze attempted to make complex roundabouts give “simple” instructions - i.e. turn left/right/straight on. They failed spectacularly. Instead roundabouts would give instructions as if there was an exit missing: i.e. first exit would give no instruction, second would say “turn left”, third would say “straight across”.
It sounds to me like they might have tried again. Only this time they have gone +1 instead of -1. So the straight across here would have said “turn right” and the turn right actually said “make a u-turn”. I’m not even going to comment on whether that is a sensible instruction for a roundabout; that’s irrelevant.
You can read more about it here. If it’s really happening again? I don’t think my blood pressure will take it this time.
After reading the previous debacle I will slowly back away from this roundabout and kindly direct all further conversation to the thread NorfolkMustard started when this was first spotted.
Relocked, and I gave the roundabout a speed limit.
This change will provoke a tile update, which may clear the problem if there was a temporary glitch in the tile generation. While no problem has been acknowledged (AFAIK) there was a hiatus in the tile rebuild program recently, so presumably there has been an issue somewhere.
