Bit of a dangerous situation here. Folks trying to get up to Common St in Wrentham from I-495 are being told to take Exit 14A, then quickly cross three lanes of traffic to turn left onto Madison St (which has no stoplight). Everything is marked correctly on the map, but is there any way we can prevent this situation from occurring?
Even if it’s not up to code, I was thinking we could add a left turn lane to Washington St starting at the offramp and ending at Madison St, then prevent folks coming from the offramp to continue to the turn lane. That way, the only people turning left on Madison are the ones going north on Washington St, and worst case, they’ll get a “stay left” instruction before having to actually turn left.
