I have searched everywhere and there seems to be no information anywhere about what the “Levels of Waziness” (as seen on http://world.waze.com/dashboard/scoreboard/) really are. I have been on the second icon (the pink waze logo) since ever. How is this calculated? Is it based on points, bonus points, karma, gravitational pull of the moon? what exactly?
It’s based on points. When you view the scoreboard on the client it should tell you how many points you need to unlock the next level.
It’s also a moving target based on other wazers in your region too!
It is? I thought each level was a set number of points. Or at least, I was under the impression that when you reach x number of points you get the sword, x number you get a crown (I thought this one was around 70-75,000), etc…
I thought that too then noticed that the number of points left to reach the crown suddenly jumped from around 1000 to 5000! Support confirmed that this was due to the regional scoreboard as I mentioned above!
Where do you see how many points are required? My client (Android) doesn’t show it on the scoreboard. The scoreboard on the phone looks exactly like on the website (world server)
Oh and by the way… I’m the top user in my area and have been on top for quite a while now, but my level is still on the first one (the pink waze next to the baby)
It shows on my Android and online, right in the middle when you first go to the scoreboard. Can’t grab a screenshot right now.
This is how my scoreboard looks like. 17054 is the number of points I currently have.
I had never even looked at the stuff before this thread. Apparently, I have a shield and the next level is a sword and I need 9000 more points to get it.
One week I did switch on and it said I was the 2nd highest points scorer the week in front and so I’d be silver. But I never drove any where that week, so never got to see myself in silver.
With the price of diesel as it is, I’ve cut back on driving.

A weekend report is a traffic report made on a Saturday or Sunday!

It must somehow be relative, because I have a lower score than dmcconachie, but I have the crown.

I believe it is relative to your state, as I have the crown again now but had lost it over the holidays as I spent most of the time at home. This is another piece of the gaming aspect of Waze giving users in the same area some additional elements to compete with their fellow wazers.
Yep, it’s relative to other wazers in your state (North America) or region/country
