Just noticed on the Flooding status page that I’ve been described as a Local Champ. Is this a new name for Area Manager, or has someone at Waze got their wires crossed?

No… Area Managers are just that. Champs “may” relate to forum groups that may or may not exist.
Someone in Waze HQ obviously think your a local expert…

I think HQ just got confused (sorry). They had the wrong Ian listed for a while.
Waze introduced a layer of ‘Local Champs’ that is below the ‘Global Champs’, though their actual role was not clearly defined. I don’t believe that we have any for the UK.
