LPG ? Not important for Waze in Spain?

Hi,

LPG is not displayed in all Spain !

Why ? There are a lot of cars in Spain using LPG.

There are a lot of gas station selling LPG.

There are a lot of foreigners travelling in Spain with LPG cars.

Maybe Waze, Spain, should change his point of view about LPG !

The use of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) in Europe has seen significant growth over the past two decades. It has become the most widely used alternative fuel on the continent, with over 15 million vehicles running on LPG and around 47,000 refueling points spread across Europe. Here’s a summary of the LPG situation in some European countries:

  • Turkey: It is the world’s second-largest consumer of Autogas LPG and has almost 4,000 refueling points, especially in the Adana region.
  • Poland: Holds the fourth position in the world in LPG consumption and has nearly 8,000 stations for refueling LPG throughout its territory.
  • Ukraine: Is the fifth-largest consumer of LPG globally.
  • Italy: Ranks sixth in the world and has about 5,000 service stations.
  • Germany: Surpasses 7,000 stations where LPG can be refueled.
  • France: With nearly 1,500 stations, it is the second Mediterranean country with the most refueling stations, although most are located near Paris.
  • Spain: More than 800 LPG gas stations are available, with Repsol leading the marketing and distribution of AutoGas LPG in the Spanish market with over 390 gas stations in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.

The increase in the use of LPG is due to its economic cost and environmental benefits, being a more sustainable alternative compared to traditional fuels. Additionally, in Spain, the proportion of LPG-powered vehicles in the automotive fleet has increased from 0.2% to 0.3% between 2020 and 2021, with more than 150,000 LPG vehicles registered.

LPG ? Not important for Waze in Spain ? According to the figures the answer is NO

It’s not that we’re not concerned about LPG, the problem is that we have to choose the most important fuels to serve the largest possible number of users. Currently, LPG would be in eighth position in the fuel ranking. We regret that in your case the user experience has not been satisfactory and we trust that in all other aspects everything has worked well and that Waze has helped you travel safely through our country.Thank you for your time in sending us your observations, which will undoubtedly help us improve. Perhaps we can consider the possibility of increasing the types of fuels displayed
