LVL 2 Editor needed for road closure

Hi,

I’m in Richmond, TX (Houston area). The Williams Way Blvd bridge that goes over I-69 in Fort Bend County is now closed officially for a few months. I don’t have access to make a road closure and need a level 2 editor to make it. Nobody can go over I-69 since the bridge is demolished.

Thanks,
Johnny

Thanks for reaching out to us. Can you provide a Permalink of the location that you are referring to.

Also, can you provide any supporting documentation links.

Johnny,

I am one of the Texas State Managers. You mentioned that you need a level 2 editor, so I’m guessing you might have dipped your toe a time or two in editing the map. If you are interested in map editing (we always are in need of Houston editors), I would like to invite you to our slack.com discussion group where we collaborate on map editing. Here is the link for the invite: http://bit.ly/2i3Yuij or you can send me your email address.

I hope to see you soon.

Thanks,

Ted

One of our Houston editors was able to find information on the closures.

I have place a 3 month closure on the bridge
Here is a link to the TXDOT release

If things change, can you please follow up on this report?

Thanks

If this has been resolved please click on thanks, and mark as solved.

Thanks,

Ted

How can I report closure due to Harvey flooding in Map Editor?

I see you found us in the Texas Slack channel. Here or there works.

And welcome!

How can you remove a road closure that has been open for several days? Clay Road between Peek and SH-99 has been open since Tuesday.

First, welcome! There’s a big effort going on to keep up with closures & openings due to Harvey. I’ve asked someone who can edit there to check on that road, and he’s looking at it now.

Normally you can report a closure in the app if you’re there or by posting a new topic here.

If you’re interested in editing, we can point you toward that, too.

EDIT: Now it’s opened. Thanks for the update!

It sounds like this has been solved. Please mark as solved and offer thanks.

Thanks,

Ted
