Lvl 5 - M5 - J12

I would like to request a L5 unlock for the junction as the roads depicted in Waze do not reflect reality. This follows a UR which shows that the Google satellite imagery (https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-2.28815&lat=51.79796&zoom=5&layers=997&env=row) is outdated as the junction actually looks like this: http://binged.it/1t8CrU5

Can this be unlocked for me or edited by a L5 please?

Thanks

Will

Hi,

What have they done…! Actually, if you change the bing map to “birdseye” they still have the original layout on show…

Down to L1 for you. be careful and think before you change it. let us know when you’ve finished so the correct locks can be reapplied.

Thanks, I’ll get on it today and be careful with what I’m doing!

Find a map and hope it helps. Just go to page 6 of this document.

For your reference, here is a similar case.

So, I’ve made some changes, namely changed the roundabouts into standard roads as you have to go around the whole junction now to come back on yourself. Should the layout be reflecting the roads exactly as they are now, i.e with the teardrop shape at each end, or is the diagrammatic layout as it is now sufficient until the underlying satellite map is updated?

Ready to be uplocked again unless anyone has anything further to add?

Hi,

Locked back as required. I made a couple of small adjustments. Let’s see how it works…

Des. . .

hey, it lost the roundabout property :?

Indeed, it needs to be either a dumbbell roundabout (M6/M1 interchange at catthrope) or a double incomplete roundabout like the preston example you posted earlier in the thread.

To save time, I’m going to correct it

My effort wasn’t good enough :frowning:

Hi,

That works? Last one like that I came across it didn’t…
And are they actually roundabouts now as they have giveways/junctions in the “roundabout” bits…

Des. . .

No worry wgodwin. Everyone makes mistake (including me  ) We are all learning. Btw, have you gone through the wiki yet? There are many useful information. You can find the links in my signature

The problem is that the keep lefts you get when they are not a roundabout don’t make for sensible instructions
