From this weekend motorists heading west on the M4 must use the new elevated roadway unless exiting at James Ruse Drive, as work continues on the M4 Widening.
If you need to exit the M4 onto James Ruse Drive, remember to stay in the far right lane. The exit will be on your right.
Thanks Ituajr,
Sorry i’m level 2, we may need to delay the road closure till the connections are processed by the tile update, as drivers will be directed off the M4 at James Ruse Drive onto Parramatta Rd whilst we wait for the connections to be updated.
Can’t be removed as it will be used in a few months after they have completed the work on it,
Final configuration will be westbound 2 lanes on the new road and 6 lanes on the existing roadway, 2 westbound and 4 eastbound.
Ah, I was wondering why the new roadway looked so narrow as they were constructing it. Now it makes sense. Sort of. Typical construction. No space for future expansion.

The tiles updated about an hour ago so you can add the closure. Please leave unlocked as there are some changes to be made but i’m only on my mobile the next couple of days, will try and do them at work.
Got my computer back, I took the James Ruse Exit on Monday and there are a couple of changes I’d like to make, segment names etc. I shouldn’t need to touch the segment with the closure. I’ll take the Burnett St exit tomorrow and check if the back end of the new road is correct.
