This is probably a continuation of this topic but I’m posting here to bring it out of the NSW forum.
There seems to be an inconsistency between the rural areas of NSW and Vic in the road type of M31. In NSW it is MH and in Vic it is Freeway.
The wiki says that for a Freeway/Motorway “There must be no intersections and there must be no access or exits except from ramps.” The NSW designation seems to reflect this but the Vic one does not. Both have intersections and accesses that are not ramps.
The only difference that I can see between the two is that NSW calls the road a highway and Vic calls it a freeway and mostly uses the “National” shield. The configuration is the same.
Is the Vic road type incorrect or does the wiki need to be adjusted to allow for the difference?
Ok, well it looks like all I’ve managed to do is bring the conversation full circle back to where it all started and that is that M31 in NSW should have a road type of Freeway in Waze.
