When driving on Colborne Street East, exiting West Brant, over the Lorne Bridge. When you get to the intersection of Colborne & Brant Ave, Waze will tell you to turn LEFT onto Brant Ave, but the road is closed. No matter how many times I report a Lane closure/construction/hazard on the app, its not changing the status of the road closure, and keeps telling me to turn left at this intersection.
Constructin is expected to last until September 2026, at this current time
I’ve entered a long-term closure on this segment, as well as all of the other ones mentioned here, until the end of August. Let us know if you see it re-open earlier, and we can remove the closure(s) then accordingly. Thanks.
Just a note to let you know that road closures ARE possible from the app, but NOT currently from Android Auto or CarPlay (due to screen interaction limitations on those platforms). To report a road closure from the app, you would need to disconnect your phone from your vehicle. There may also be limitations on the duration of a road closure in the app – the default is one hour; I’m not positive if you can override the default or not.
The better ways would be to report a map issue with a description detailing what is closed and for how long (obviously, pull over to type a proper description – again, you may need to disconnect from your car to gain access to the Description field), or to send a Waze Discuss report like this once you return home.
