Hi the_can00k,
The closures were updated accordingly.
Thanks.
The Westbound on and off ramps at the 401-VMP interchange were scheduled to be re-opened yesterday and Waze is reflecting that, however they were NOT reopened as of this morning.
Waze was showing them as being open.
Do you travel by here frequently? If you do it would be awesome to have a set of eyes on this project.
The City of London has said this afternoon that the ramps are finally open today.
I drive past it pretty much every day. I can confirm the westbound on and off ramps were open as of this morning.
Sweet. EB ramps are supposed to be open by the end of Oct. If you notice one day they are open and still closed in the app let me know. ![]()
Some London closures I’ve experienced recently that aren’t on the live map:
Baseline Road East between Wellington and High St is closed until the end of the month.

BEACHWOOD AVE between SOUTHCREST DR and BASE LINE RD W closed until end of November:

EMERY ST E between WHARNCLIFFE RD S and CATHCART ST closed until October 20th:

Is it possible to coordinate London’s construction Right of Way site with Waze? http://apps.london.ca/RightOfWay/
Thanks for bringing to my attention. These closures were all in place however the city decided to extend them and I must have missed it.
Few more things I’ve noticed. There are some new roads that have been added to the Waze map in the west end of the city, off Westdel Bourne (near Oxford St). The following roads now exist but they aren’t yet open:
- Upperpoint Blvd from Westdel Bourne to roundabout
- Riverbend Rd from Sumac Way to south terminus
- Upper West Ave
- Trailsway Ave
- the southern most leg of Warbler Woods Walk
Are you sure? I drove around that area last week and these roads were there. While they are not 100% finished, they do exist and are signed. There were no road closed signs.
Late last week they had concrete barriers up on Upperpoint Blvd preventing traffic from entering the area.
Edit: As of Monday Nov 6, there is a posted “Road Closed” sign at the entry to Upperpoint Blvd.
Thanks for sharing. I’ve added a closure to Upperpoint Blvd.
It looks like they’re already marked, but I can confirm that the ramps and the extension to Wilton Grove Road are all open now!
A new addition that’s currently under construction but expected to open shortly:
- Riverbend Road between Oxford Street and Shore Road
They’ve been laying down sewer lines over the last week and will be installing curbs and paving before the end of the month. The short portion of Riverbend Road between Oxford St and the Sifton Centre parking lot to the north is closed this week (November 20-24)

Upperpoint Blvd is no longer blocked off and the road closed sign has been removed.
Thanks! Closure removed.
Some new closures in the London area that aren’t appearing on Waze at the moment:
Longwoods Road between Colonel Talbot Road and the Thames River in Lambeth is closed to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic is permitted. This is scheduled until September.
Longwoods Road between Melbourne Road and Thames Road is closed due to a bridge repair.
Tweed Cres is closed (excluding local traffic) until June 29,2018 for curb, catchment and pavement.
More missing closures I’ve noticed around London:
- Westminster Drive is closed for construction between Westdel Bourne and Col Talbot Road.
- North St between Byron Baseline Road and Commissioners Road is also closed for construction.
