I have tried reporting a “map issue” with a speed limit that is incorrect. Of course, I am driving at the time, so I select “Later”, to be able to send the issue to Waze. From the incorrect location to home is 3 to 4 minutes. When I click the button again to report (“Later”), it just disappears. I cannot report the issue, as the button simply drops. I have tried this now for several days in a row. Any advice?
Hello, and Welcome to Waze!
A few ways to do this.
- Just send a report at the location of the Speed Limit Sign (without comment) and we will reply to you. If you have a verified email, the report goes there and also to the app’s inbox. iOS users have a bug where the inbox is not properly showing in the app.
- You can tell us here where the problem is. Just tell us the street and city and where the SL change is.
- You can try to change the speed limit yourself in WME. https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor/?lon=-76.4498965&lat=36.8634075&zoom=3&env=usa is a link to the Suffolk, VA area since you made a change to a place a while back. This is to get you in the area that I assume you drive by. Even if the road is locked above L1, the change will be a map suggestion that we see.
- you can Direct Message Me since I am a Virginia State Manager for Waze.
Thanks for coming in and helping us update the map.
