Map update request in Rosedale, Maryland

Hi Editors,

I’d appreciate your help with a map update. I cant restrict access yet as i dont have junction boxes updated in my Edit application yet. The old Unnamed road was before the above ground reservoir was paved and aligned and signed as MUNICPAL WAY and the whole complex was given the address 4601 Municipal Way. I redirected that linework to try and match the current alignment of the named access road inside the facility.

I have been sending in suggestions and corrections as a GIS Specialist for Baltimore County and would like to have higher level access due to my access to official records but it seems I would have to invest way more time than I have. Maybe Waze should think about a faster pathway to those invested but who cant make the requisite number of edits that auto unlocks ones access and editing ability.

Looks good! I approved both changes and they should take effect by start of business on Wednesday. You can also Add a House Number to the revised Municipal Way segment.

I don’t know if you were aware, but there is a program for agencies to officially partner with Waze for bidirectional data sharing: Waze for Cities. Baltimore County could sign on as a partner (if its not already), and that would expand your access to Waze Data, and allow you to directly share closure information. Additionally, it would allow the volunteer map editor community to coordinate our interactions with you in a more formal way, and potentially allow us to grant you access to suggest edits county-wide, without having to create editable area with Waze app drives.
