That’s what we need.
We’re “rolling out the red carpet” in more ways than one.
We simply have a matter of 2 million residents of LA County dropping URs, and we might be now up to 10 active L2+ editors when we really need 30 or 40 L3+.
A lot of these URs are invalid… simply mistakes.
A lot of URs are no longer valid, and really shouldn’t have been reported as URs in the first place… they get dropped every time there is a parade closure, police closure, or weather closure (I’ve worked a dozen “flooding” closures in the last couple of days).
A lot of URs may have been valid at one time, but have since been fixed by well-meaning editors working Validator reports and MPs, but not bothering to look at URs.
We’re at the point where, due to WME’s filter not displaying more than “X” number of URs on a single screen, if you zoom out to Zoom-0 over LA, you basically get only yellow, maybe a few URs.
Nothing over 10 days old displays unless you zoom in.
It’s not that the map is seriously messed up… it’s not… it’s just that we don’t have enough local editors to keep up with the URs.
Please let your local editors know about this as well. Know that any rank is welcome. We will do our best to teach and help them learn faster than if they edited just by reading guidelines.
Also, we will be testing U Turns as well. It’ll be lots of fun and great way to interact with other Wazers.’
Yes and yes…
U Turns are in testing stage. We will be testing during our MapRaid in LA (USA)
I invite all editors from all over the world to join the MapRaid in LA…
