Marking for speed humps/bumps is NEEDED in Mexico PLEASE!! In Mexico, there are many bumps made unusually high and/or without signs. Some bumps even made by local person just only for slowing drivers to buy their merchandise. In the morning, the bump without paint still can be seen but at night? sigh…
The need for traffic calming / speed hump warnings appears to be under estimated as these devices increase in proliferation and are frequently unmarked or poorly marked.
There are two aspects to this requirement:
A facility for Wazers to report these devices as they do for hazards or cameras. This is a safety issue as a timely warning will reduce vehicle damage and accidents.
An indication that a road contains traffic calming devices. This is a convenience for people who wish to avoid such roads.

I also think that this would be a really useful feature. There must be a way to let other wazers know that there is a speed hump in a segment. Maybe the same way as when a road is temporary shown as closed, but in this case with a yellow dot (as a warning) and without any date limit.
I agree. Much like some people want to avoid toll roads at almost all cost, I much prefer to avoid speed bumps even if it means a couple of minute delay in my trip.
“The fastest way” depends which car I’m in. For me, it isn’t just about speed, it’s about mechanical sympathy for my own car, and avoiding causing an obstruction to those following.
One of my cars has got front brake cooling ducts that drop below the front splitter, and will scrape on many speed bumps, and especially speed cushions, unless I take them at a crawl. Out of care for my own car, I won’t sacrifice the brake ducts. At the same time, I’d like to extend courtesy to following drivers with vehicles that are less delicate or that (perhaps) they just don’t care about. This afternoon, I was sent down several miles of roads with severe speed cushions, and had to crab, crawl, and creep my way along, looking all the way to give overtaking opportunities to those wishing to travel faster. It was horrible. For that reason, I’d like to be able to select routes that avoid speed bumps, tables, and cushions, unless they are unavoidable or only over a short section of road.
4 years and the feature is still not considered…
This will actually help a lot of people. Where I live, there usually exists unmarked, unpainted, speed bumps. Having Waze notifying us about them will not only impress people but also benefits us on the long run.
a simple “Speed bumps reported ahead” warning when approaching a street full of speed bumps, will suffice.
I agree. Please Help. I have launched the family on a number of occasions because of poorly marked (or no markings at all) Speed Bumps. It would seem to me that this would be an excellent addition to the map in many parts of the world.
Speed bumps are so many on Indian state highways and they are not warned at all or very poor warning mechanism. So I request to add a speed bump reporting and warning
I’m pretty sure that someone in Waze has decided that there will never bee any speed hump mark / warnings in waze!
I see so many people asking for this feature and Waze has don nothing but resist.
If you mark broken down cars / potholes / police etc why not speed humps that in many places are unmarked and designed in such away that you are going to crash if you hit them even well below the speed limit?
Lots of discussion on routing and fastest route etc - I’m sure that can come later but for now lets just have them marked.
Will look that up one of these days - but FYI there is no warnings in my areas nor do I see how to add speed bumps as a normal user as I drive over them - just like I add potholes etc. This is what I am asking about in my post as it is the quickest and easiest way to get the data on the map.
I see it is now in map editor it says its not available, but i believe this not an efficient way of capturing the data any way.
It is not something that can be added in the app, it is added using the map editor and it takes a specific editor rank (depending on region) to add them. You can reach out to your local editing community for assistance.
