Mass update: New Vector-SR Bi-directional cameras in London (TfL 2026 rollout)

Hi Waze Community and Editors,

With the ongoing TfL 2026 rollout, many old Gatso cameras are being replaced with the new Vector-SR (bi-directional) units. These are 4D radar-based and cover both sides of the road, but many are currently missing from the map or marked for one direction only.

I’m starting this topic to help identify and update these locations.

Current location to be added/updated:

Address: 181 Hammersmith Road, W6 7JP (near Virgin Active)

Type: Vector-SR (Bi-directional / covers both directions)

Speed Limit: 20 mph

Current status in Waze: Missing or one-way only.

Please let’s use this thread to report more sightings of these specific “slim yellow” cameras across London boroughs.

Thanks for keeping the map accurate!

List of London Boroughs with New Vector-SR Speed Cameras (2026 Rollout):

Key Details for Editors:

Model: Jenoptik Vector-SR (slim yellow units).

Function: Bi-directional tracking (covers both directions).

Technology: 4D Radar + Infrared (no visible flash).

Enforcement: Covers multiple lanes and doesn’t require white lines on the road.

Speed Limits: Most of these are being installed in 20mph and 30mph zones.

Hi,

Thanks for your post. I’ve just had a look at the camera on Hammersmith Road and it was changed on the 27th March to show that it detects both directions.

If you know the locations of the other cameras, I can have a look and confirm they’re mapped correctly.

Thanks again.

Additional Targeted Locations: South London (A3 Corridor)

I have also spotted multiple new installations along the A3 (Clapham Road) in South London. These seem to be part of the same Vector-SR rollout.

Specific locations to verify/add:

Clapham Road (A3): Multiple units between Stockwell Station and Oval.

Key intersections: Near Caldwell St, Vassall Rd, and Mostyn Rd.

Type: Likely Vector-SR (Bi-directional).

Speed Limit: 20 mph / 30 mph zones.

Please ensure these are marked for both directions, as they are often positioned to capture traffic from the opposite lane as well.
