With the ongoing TfL 2026 rollout, many old Gatso cameras are being replaced with the new Vector-SR (bi-directional) units. These are 4D radar-based and cover both sides of the road, but many are currently missing from the map or marked for one direction only.
I’m starting this topic to help identify and update these locations.
Thanks for your post. I’ve just had a look at the camera on Hammersmith Road and it was changed on the 27th March to show that it detects both directions.
If you know the locations of the other cameras, I can have a look and confirm they’re mapped correctly.
Full List of London Boroughs with New Vector-SR Camera Installations (2026 Rollout)
According to recent reports from the community, the new Vector-SR (bi-directional) speed cameras are being actively installed in the following London boroughs:
• Hammersmith and Fulham (Confirmed: 181 Hammersmith Road)
• Haringey
• Tower Hamlets
• Havering
• Croydon
• Brent
• Hackney
• Ealing
• Sutton
Technical Summary for Map Editors:
• Camera Type: Vector-SR (Slim yellow digital units).
• Operational Principle: 4D Tracking Radar (no road markings required).
• Monitoring: Bi-directional (capable of capturing vehicles in both directions from a single side of the road).
• Flash: Infrared (invisible to the naked eye).
• Enforced Speed Limits: Primarily 20 mph and 30 mph zones based on local risk assessments.
