While planning a route from Linz/Donau to La Spezia (I) today, I noticed that “Avoid tolls” is now ignoring the vignette — so it’s directing me via federal roads in Austria despite having the AT vignette.
I am 100% sure it wasn’t like this before. It also makes no sense to add the vignette if “Avoid tolls” doesn’t use it anyway.
Could someone double-check this?

the start doesn’t look like Linz. In which town did the route begin? This could be relevant for long-distance routing.
Are you aware that with “avoid tolls” you won’t be routed via the Brenner or the A10 (section toll)? Of course, that shouldn’t change anything regarding the A1.
The starting point was Puchenau (neighboring town of Linz).
In fact, it is the same for me; for example, with a route to “Gries am Brenner,” everything still works fine.
Only when the distance increases does “avoid tolls” ignore the AT vignette.
So it really seems to be an issue with long-distance routing.
Well, if it works up to the Brenner, that could also be because in Italy, motorway tolls are listed as tolls (as far as I know, there’s no vignette there, AFAIK). It’s interesting, though, if that were to affect the route in Austria. Why do you want to have “avoid tolls” enabled?
Motorcycle tour, but with an Austrian vignette.
When riding a motorcycle, you hardly ever use section toll routes, but instead take the passes over the top. Notably, the section toll and Italian tolls for motorcycles are just as expensive as for cars.

I’ve tested it in the app now and can confirm your observation. Between Linz and Salzburg, it takes the B1 instead of the A1 when “avoid toll roads” is selected, despite the vignette.
I’ll pass this on.
