There is no missing roundabout option in the app. So im not sure why is it appearing on WME.

Until a few versions ago it was possible to report missing roundabout. Users who have not updated their phone can still report missing roundabout.

Hi @AdamB1995 and thank you for raising this query. Having checked the source of the report, I can confirm that this is exactly as @jcnina pointed out; the user who sent the “Missing roundabout” requests had version 5,3 installed with this report type still available.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,
Olesya

There is definitely something weird going on with the Missing Roundabout reports. Are they being automatically created without user input or as a bug?

I have had a user respond to a Missing Roundabout report stating that they have never done so and they are getting frustrated as it has happened multiple times now.

Can you please look into this again?

You may want to ask the reporter whether they are using Waze on their phone and what holder they are using.

I had a reporter whose phone was loose in the holder and everything they hit a bump, the holder would tap against the side of the phone just in the right place to open up a report. I had that reporter put the phone on the seat and the URs stopped.

I had another reporter who would put their phone in the cup holder and every time they took the phone out to look at it, they tapped on the report button.

This comes from CarPlay where there is a report called “No roundabout”.

Hi @lacmacca,

Thank you for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience experienced by both the reporter and yourself… What @abc1357 has suggested is a good starting point, although there might be some other contributing factors. In fact, we have a similar bug reported here for duplicated/accidental URs.
I will add your example for further investigation. In the meantime, if you see similar reports, it would be really helpful if we could have some client logs as well.

Kindest regards,
Olesya

I found this thread as I too have noticed more “missing roundabout” URs, usually where there is no roundabout. Currently, these “missing roundabout” reports are about 8-10% of our open URs in Greece. Of these reports, 90% are from IOS users.

Hi @grkpete,

Thank you for your input.
In these URs, is there any notion of them being accidental? Would you be able to provide some examples?

Best regards,
Olesya

In CarPlay, it takes serious effort to get to that report as it’s at the end of a submenu. Definitely strange there would be so many of these specific reports.

Thank you for your input @YUL This looks to be more of an app bug either way. The tricky part is that, when it comes to client-side issues, we’d need some debug logs to properly investigate them, but it is exceptionally rare to have production users send their debug logs unfortunately.
