I would like to report that I have found the route calculation may not correct on 7th Aug 2013.
on 7th Aug 2013, I have travel from Bukit Mertajam to Sekinchan (Malaysia).
route:
Bukit Mertajam- Jawi- E1 (Plus)- E1 Semanggol R&R- E1 Ipoh- E1 Gopeng- Kampar- Teluk Intan- Sabak Bernam then lastly to Sekinchan.
And all the while I have turn on the Waze navigation during I drove, the total distance supposingly around 290KM but recorded only 181.99KM.
unfortunately I can’t view my “Drive” in https://world.waze.com/editor/# to double chack what and where it missing.
During your drive, did you notice that your GSM data suddenly dropped? Certain mobile telco’s coverage is not that good in rural areas (kampung). When your GSM data dropped, your drives will not be recorded.
This is a known issue with the waze client and a request have been sent to waze to add this feature to cache our drives.
However if your GSM data did not dropped through out the entire drive, the drive will take a few days to be processed. Refer to the FAQ here
I myself experienced a drive from Tronoh back to Klang non-stop drive of 216km using the coastal road, took waze 5 days to show in my drives tab.
