I noticed this in my WME. I also noticed is browser independent, same issue in Chrome and IE11.
I think the problem isn’t the browser, I usually use Mozilla.
It is browser and OS independent. I tried in Firefox and Chrome in Windows and Firefox, Chrome & Safari on Apple. Same results everytime.

Level went down from 2 to 1 (others users see my wrong level, too) / user name in editor says “Hi [missing %{username} value]” / my edits have user “Wazer (1)” instead of my username / WME-Chat-scripts won’t work…

Nevermind, gone again!
Using the latest update of Chrome on Windows 7. Made sure all extensions were up to date. Tried with extensions turned off. Logged off and back on. Nothing changes. I am still missing my name and I haven’t gotten credit for a single edit in a week. Less than 2000 edits from level 4 and not making any headway. Tried to log in on a totally separate machine with Chrome and Windows 10 and result was the same. User name is Mattiedale.
WME updated to a new release today. My username in the upper left corner next to the Waze Editor picture now says “logout” instead of being a blank. Chat window still does not show my name - it shows blank. UR responses and segment changes still identified as “Wazer(2)”
The [missing %{username} value] has now disappeared with the new WME however the error is still there, as now it simply does not show the name.
I have used my father’s account to show that a name should appear, while my name is simply missing.
Yeah, I lost my AM area and my LAM area, but I still have edit count, points, drives, etc. Today’s edits are shown as Wazer (3) on November 08, 2015. Go figure.

Just wanted to chime in and say it’s affecting me, too. All my segments I’ve edited today say “Wazer(2)” and my name is not on my editor user profile. :?
The thread that is posted is all well and good as a history lesson but it does not explain what is going on now. Mine no longer displays hello [missing %{username} value]. My edit count still does not go up and I am referred to as Null. History of edits are Wazer(3).

Again, another good history lesson but now the problem has changed. No longer do I get the can’t use VME validatior here and do not get the hi [missing … I get nothing. All the roads I ever entered or have edited recently come back to Wazer(3). I click on the PM link next to it and it says can’t send a message to null. Edit counter no longer changes. Don’t show up on Map Chat either. I feel so anonymous.
I’ve merged the threads to make it easier to follow discussions on (or related to) the issue.
I thought it was fixed, last night. I actually saw my user name and modified some roads and my user name was on them, too. But, when I checked again this morning, I was back to Wazer(2), again.
