I added a small street segment to prevent through routing through the parking lot from he lot across the street. If this is incorrect or you don’t think we need it let me know or just remove it if you want.

Hmm. These segments are usually fairly rare. You have to judge whether to just block the crossing completely, offset the roads, whether there’s a UR, and how busy or what’s the likelihood. In this case, you missed that the road behind the building is one-way which also reduces the likelihood. Roads like that behind building can also be made private in the map since you generally don’t want to direct drivers there. Doing that in this case solves the through routing issue. The route is still there but a higher penalty is incurred by the PLR to PR transition.
