Hello Waze Community,
I am a dedicated user of Waze more then 8 years and appreciate the convenience it brings to my daily commute. However, I would like to propose an enhancement that I believe would greatly benefit users like me who enjoy listening to music while driving.
Currently, Waze offers integration with a limited selection of music apps, and while Spotify is supported, it doesn’t cater to the preferences of users who enjoy Indian music. Given the diverse and extensive music libraries of Indian music apps like Gaana and Raaga, I strongly suggest that Waze consider adding support for these platforms or, at the very least, allow users to specify their preferred music apps.
Here are a few reasons why this feature would be valuable:
Cultural Diversity: India boasts a rich tapestry of musical traditions, and many users, including myself, rely on apps like Gaana and Raaga to enjoy their favorite tunes. Allowing integration with these platforms would enhance the driving experience for a significant portion of your user base.
Personalization: Waze is all about personalizing the navigation experience. Allowing users to select their preferred music app would extend this personalization to their in-car entertainment, making Waze an even more indispensable travel companion.
Enhanced Safety: Accessing music apps while driving can be distracting. By integrating with user-selected apps, Waze can help promote safer driving habits, as users won’t need to switch between apps or fiddle with their phones.
I kindly request that the Waze development team consider implementing this feature in a future update. It would demonstrate Waze’s commitment to serving the needs of a global user base and make the app even more appealing to users in India and other regions where Indian music is popular.
Thank you for your attention to this suggestion, and I look forward to the possibility of enjoying a more integrated and personalized driving experience with Waze.
Sincerely,
Yasir
