I’ve been using WAZE sucessfully… THANKS!
I now have an issue, but not sure of it’s origin. My Waze nav setting is for ‘AUDIO ON’, however when navigating, the audio portion is no longer functioning properly. For example, instead of providing turn by turn audio, it is broken up into infrequent partial words … as I’m approaching a turn indicated on the map (less than 50 feet), I’ll suddenly hear “Left” … no longer do I hear prompts prior to the ‘left turn’ or other important promps for any directions. I know audio - via phone speaker- is turned on… I just listened to the WAZE Map Editing demo… so I’m not sure what causing the issue.

No BT connections and … I assumed the following: a) Waze calculates multiple routes for just about every location traveled to; b) no warnings on Waze or Google Maps for lost signals or poor reception;
Waze shows no distruption to map route… line and text directions are rock solid.
I am currently traveling between Miami Beach and various local tourist stops in and around Miami.
Try turning off the send to phone speaker option, and see what happens. That’s more of a bluetooth/phone speaker switch.
I have a Samsung S3. Checked audio settings - Stereo. Checked Waze audio setting - Sounds ON… then I turned it off… no audio when in nav mode… turned on and same ‘partial sentence/word’ condition. BT connection turned off. Going to reboot my phone… also wondering if I must uninstall/ re-install Waze (hopefully current my account will not be trashed)!!

It was set both ways… play sound to phone speaker, and off. PROMPS volume has always been at max… even set lower to see if there was a hardware malfunction… no difference
I’ll be going out later today… and will report back…
Tomorrow I’ll be back in NC… we’ll see if this makes a difference.

I would try reinstall. This involves removing the app. Deleting the Waze folder from the SD card. Download from the Play store. Log in during the startup sequence. Files get corrupted/partially downloaded and Waze can’t recover from this.

Success!! Before trying Alan’s suggestion, I tried another power down > Waze >check settings - box unchecked > Navigate to xxxx, and this time it worked!
For some reason, simply unchecking the “Play Sound to Phone Speaker” in Settings Menu the first 2 times did not restore full voice instructions… “third time’s the charm” ?.. in this case yes.
One more point: this particular setting under SOUND, has been checked for some time… so I’m really not sure what changed to make it stop working.

If you have the volume set to zero, rather than muting navigation instructions from the bottom of the main menu, yes, this will happen. Choose Alerts only or mute all.
