New feature called “Destination Alarm"

Dear Waze Team,

I would like to share with you an idea that could add significant value to the Waze user experience, such as a new feature called “Destination Alarm".

The concept is simple but highly practical: it allows users to set a reminder linked directly to their chosen destination. Instead of being a traditional time-based alarm, this one would be triggered when the user arrives at their final destination.

Practical example:
Recently, my mother asked me to remind her to pick up a jacket from a store as soon as we arrived at our destination. However, we got distracted and went straight to another commitment, completely forgetting about it. If Waze had this feature, upon arrival the app could issue a notification such as:
“You have arrived at your destination. Don’t forget to pick up the jacket from the store.”

Key benefits:

  • Helps users remember tasks and commitments associated with their trips.
  • Differentiates Waze by combining intelligent navigation with personal organization.
  • Increases user engagement and makes the app even more essential in daily life.

I believe this simple but powerful feature could bring an additional layer of usefulness to Waze, making it not only a navigation tool but also a smart assistant for everyday tasks.

Sincerely,
Tiago Costa

I believe this is irrelevant to the core purpose of Waze.
You can use for this task location based reminder apps!

I think this is even built in to Android reminders/tasks.

Thanks for your suggestion! I’m really impressed at how detailed it is and how you explained the idea

Unfortunately, this looks like a Waze app suggestion, though, not WME. App suggestions can be made on the Waze User Voice Platform.

I recommend you search to see if your suggestion already exists, and if not, copy and paste your excellent suggestion over. Remember to get as many people to add their vote of support. Waze looks at suggestions on the basis of the number of votes.
