The City of Ottawa approved 20 new red light camera locations back in March, and I’ve now seen multiple implemented, a few more still to come.
I’m bringing this up as there has been many added via the app (multiple for the same location) and as I can’t edit them yet :(, but someone should.
I can still help with validating if they exist or not yet.
Many are going up in the GTA as well. Unfortunately, app reports aren’t so useful since you need to know the direction the camera is pointing before you can add it to the map. Need to get a map issue from someone. The app reports are only a good indication that a camera in the list has actually been installed (but not necessarily working).
So how would one be validated as working? An annoyed user reports being caught by one?
Not saying they have to be working. They just have to actually be there and the direction known.
