Can a higher level map editor please add a speed camera driving direction B→A on 166th Ave NE next to Redmond middle school.
Thanks for the post. These have been added per the map Speed Safety Camera Pilot Program | Redmond, WA. Do you know if the high school and Rose Hill Middle School cameras are up?
The cameras are curently slightly misplaced. One camera is located approximately halfway between the two cameras currently placed in the map, and the second should be further south, just south tennis courts at about the western tree line.
On this topic, do first-timers have any edit permissions, and if so, what’s possible? Would like to start contributing.
Hello, Andrew!
Without a specific location I’m unable to move those cameras. I think you’re referring to the high school cameras, but I can’t be sure. The easiest way to share specific areas in the Waze editor is to generate a permalink - via the little chain link icon on the right side of the screen (just under the refresh button).
Waze staff have created a video to help get new editors started: Level Up Your Editing: Essential Editing Course Now Live!🎉
As a new editor you start at Rank 1 and there are some restrictions on what you’re able to do. In addition, a few features are rank-locked - for example, you can’t enter durable road closures via the editor until Rank 3.
Places and roadways locked above your level can be unlocked by a senior editor or you can create an edit suggestion.
We’ve got an active Discord chat for local editors (and every region across the country). Posting a link there to an update request is a great way to get it solved quickly. Otherwise it waits for someone to come across it.
There’s also the Unlock forum here on Discuss.

Let’s try this: The northernmost camera in this area is here:

If that came through correctly, it should be roughly midway between the two existing cameras on the map, neither of which is in the right place.
The southernmost camera would be here (quite some distance from the actual school entry.)

Please take a look now.
Yup, the locations look correct to me now.
