New cameras around all the perimeter roads at LHR.
“Speed matrix and ANPR average speed checks”.
They are very small and not easy to spot.
Need to get these in the maps so the community is aware.

There’s a topic about these on a motoring forum I frequent which includes some comments from LHR workers suggesting the cameras are indeed live. It’s also claimed there that the cameras operate as standalone units to enforce the speed at the point you pass by the camera, and also then as paired-off units to do average speed enforcement…
If I don’t end up stuck at work too late today I’ll try and do a (slow!) loop of the perimeter roads on my way home to record their positions.
I did a few of them yesterday .
Following one lap of the airfield in each direction, all of the cameras around the perimeter loop itself are now marked…
shows up as an average speed check zone in Waze now
