New thought on Stopped Trains on RailRoads

I live in Terre Haute, IN (called the Crossroads of America because almost all trains run through here) and getting stopped by a train is a daily occurrence here. I have been trying to find any kind of an app to help me avoid getting stuck. Most of the time, the trains just stop and go backeards and forwards over a section so they can add or take away from the train cars. They switch tracks and can cover very ling distances. We have a few overpasses because people were literally dying in ambulances waiting to get across the tracks but there are still quite a few tracks that have no way over, under or around. PLEASE add something to your wonderful app to help with this. There must be schedules for the trains somewhere that might be integrated or just other Wazers reporting. Thank you.

Waze will take into account the delays experienced by drivers on the segments leading up to the train tracks. This is in the historical data so every time you get stopped by a train make sure waze is running so the slowdown is recorded at that time of day.

Hello!
I’m on an android, located in the i4 corridor of Forida, we too have regular freight trains in addition to amtrack service. Can we add to the traffic sub’menu train? It’d be hugely beneficial.
thank you,
Dani
