New Waze user/editor introduction

Hi everyone!

I’m a fairly new Waze user, having only been using the app for just over two months and wanted to post an introduction. I live in and drive around the Sellersburg/Louisville area. Since I’ve used the map editor a couple of times, Roadtechie reached out to me and gave me the rundown on who’s who and some useful links for new members. I’m still getting my feet wet with the editing tool and am working on updating the house numbers in my subdivision and will be doing the same with my parents’ subdivision since most navigation platforms just aren’t accurate with those. I’m glad to see that these can be edited!

Although I’m new, I’m very excited to have an app like this and only wish I had known it existed sooner. I’ve been wishing for something like this for awhile and just never knew about it. I’m already addicted and use Waze every time I drive and have already reached Warrior status, though I have quite a way to go to get to knighthood.

I look forward to assisting with larger map edits as I get more comfortable with the editor and would like to offer myself as a resource as needed. Until then, I will be working on some of the minor changes/improvements needed as I see them.

Drive safely!

Hi and welcome! I am sure we will be working together soon. Let me know if I can help with anything.

Glad to see you on here. Let me know if you ever have any questions.

Welcome! I’ve been taking care of the Bartholomew/Jackson/Brown County areas. I have a passion for getting those country roads updated.
I’d recommend that is a good place to start. Many of them are setup incorrectly as one-way or with turns not setup right, and so they won’t be used by the client if the big roads have an issue and need to be re-routed.
Look at the last editor of whatever road you’re looking at. If it is “admin” or “wazeuser” from a few years ago, that is likely stale info and could use an update.
Good luck!

Great tip! I’ll look for that.

Hello Fellow Waze Editors, I have been utilizing Waze for about 2-3 months now and have started editing my area maps. Any additional information or tips you can send me would be great.

Good advice and glad to see your interest in those rural roads. It is not as glamorous of an area to edit, although very much needed! I edit rural when I need a rest!

Yes our rural Wazers need some lovin’ as well. Nothing like encountering a minor error and ending up getting re-routed 4-5 miles around it because their are no other roads nearby! :o

Hi Tnsapper,

Are you still active in Fort Wayne? Check your PMs and let me know if there is anything I can help with.

I hope to hear from you soon.
