Hello! I live on Linden Avenue at the location listed above. When I attempt to navigate home, Waze cannot find the address. I mean that in just about every way possible. First, when I give my address, the routes consistently go down the alleys in the neighborhood. (The alleys are never used for general driving. People only use them to get to their garages.) Instead of the Linden Avenue address which I entered, Waze insists on taking me to Tennessee Alley, which is the back of my house.

When I do follow the suggested route down the alleys, Waze takes me to the vicinity of the back of my house, recalculates, and then sends me back up the street and down the alleys…infinitely.

I have gone into the map editor and tried jiggering a number of things. I’ve deleted and restored my house number, adjusted the stop point for the address, changed the alley from a parking lot road to a private road, a dirt road, and a closed road – just to see if it would make a difference.

Nothing changed the result. Listening to Waze, I’m just going around the block…forever…

Please help! And let me know if you need more info.

Thanks!

Where do I start? First, your address pin is coming from Google. Search on Google and I’ll bet that the pin is set back on your property. It is closer to the alley. Waze will route you down a Parking lot road only when it needs to get you to your destination. Alleys set as parking lots is correct. So, you can either change your pin location with Google or stand out at the street with Waze, press and hold your phone to mark your current location. Set as home.

The pin on Google is, indeed, set towards the back of my property. I’ll try moving the pin to the front of my property in Google Maps and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for your assistance and the quick reply!
