NH Road Closures

[size=125]Hey all,
I have recently taken the seasonal NH closures sheet, that is listed in the NH Wiki, and beefed it up a bit. The new sheet that I have created has three tabs total, all serving a different purpose.

  • Seasonal: Will serve as closures that happen seasonally (ie: winter and spring/mud seasons) and will most likely repeat yearly. This sheet can be used each year as a reference to what needs to be closed again the following year.
  • Special Events: This sheet will have special events, such as road races and farmers markets, that again will most likely happen yearly but will have shorter closure periods or occur on multiple repeating days.
  • Construction: Lastly for long term road closures that will only occur once and not be repeated in the future.
    If possible, I would like to suggest that these gets embedded into the NH Wiki and used as a source for our editors as to what is closed in the state and for what reason.

Closed to thru traffic Nov.1st to May 1st

Just curious why they would close that-- it’s a paved street in a pretty settled area in Conway, not a type of situation that you’d normally see a town close a road.

Indeed that’s strange - and not signed as of Streeview from August 2018 (on the W Main St side). How is it closed? Do they put up road barriers? I would also note that there are GPS points all along that road right now - so even if it’s somehow designated as closed till 1 May - people are driving on it with Waze running.

Assuming it is closed seasonally maybe it’s done for only through traffic and not the people on the road.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this (I’m new to the map editor), but a local road to me has been suddenly closed due to a water under the road issue. It will be closed for the next 2 months at least. I’ve left a comment at the spot of the closure, but haven’t seen any responses to it yet. Could someone mark the road closure here?
