No cell service means no edit :(

Earlier today I specifically drove down a highway that I wanted to update in Waze.

When I check the areas I’m allowed to edit (within 2 miles of my actual path) I find I’m not able to edit the areas where my phone did not have access to cellular data. (It’s dark in the editor as non-editable areas are shown.)

Is there a way around this or a fix?

Hi, Grimace. To get editing permission in a no-service region, you’ll have to become an area manager for that portion of the province.

In that wiki page I linked, there is another link that takes you to the Canadian application form for area management.
