Not getting any Pop-up notifications

Hi, I joined Waze almost two weeks ago. I use it for every journey and contribute information relating to traffic on my routes. In the beginning, before I joined any Groups, I was getting pop-up notifications about issues with traffic, police etc. within a 5km radius. This was great for me.

However, last week I joined a variety of groups with hundreds of members I checked the box that says Allow Pop-up messages from ALL Groups that I am a member of. Since then, I have received absolutely no pop-up messages. I “unjoined” all of the groups for a day to see if this would make any difference and I still do not get any pop-up messages.

Please help. Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe something you wrote is key… I also have popups for groups selected. Maybe there’s something which is causing a conflict. I’m going to try turning off group popups and see if the regular ones come back…

Me too. I didn’t know I had popups for groups selected until I read this thread and looked.

The group popup setting does appear to affect the popup when at a standstill. I turned the group setting off and received more popups when at a standstill this morning.

When you say that you turned off the Group settings, do you mean that you UNjoined the groups of which you are a member or is there another way to turn of group settings please?

No, what I did was to go to Settings>Social Networks>Pop-up reports and select “None.” However, I now think I may have been hallucinating the results because I’m not getting pop-ups consistently when I stop. I do have the event radius set to “On route only” and am generally driving with navigation on.

I received only 1 pop-up this morning. So there does not seem to be any correlation between the Pop-up reports setting and my receiving pop-ups when at a stand still.

I also tried the group notifications and it made no difference. I get zero popups and my radius has been set to all settings with no difference. Currently set to “All” and still nothing when stopped.

Funny how you sometimes notice, or in this case don’t notice, things. Until reading this I hadn’t really noticed that I wasn’t getting pop ups anymore, but then I thought about it and I too haven’t seen any for a while. I had groups pop ups set to none and haven’t changed my group settings for many weeks, so I know I was getting them with my current settings at one point.

I was getting pop-up reports while sitting at red lights until about 2 weeks ago, and now I get none. Wondering if a fix is in the works?
