I tried Waze. I’m registered (username “krellan”), and things appear to be working on the website. I tried driving around with the Waze application running, on my iPhone 3GS, and nothing happened.
The roads didn’t change color or otherwise provide any indication, as I drove along, and it still remained at 0 points, even though I drove over a few cherries.
I tried navigating a route, and back. I had to manually hit “Stop Navigation” when at the end of the routes. The total miles driven still remains at 0 or 0.5, when in reality I went around 50 miles or so, round trip.
I’m disappointed, as I was looking rather forward to Waze. Is there anything that I have to do to get it to work?
When did you go for the drive? The point total on the website typically takes 24-48 hours to update, but it has been a bit slower lately because of increased usage due to press coverage.
For cherries and other goodies, you should hear a sound and see the points ticker show the bonus points. If you have “Show points ticker” disabled in the options, it will not show. Further, if you touch the points ticker when it is open, it will close and remain closed for the remainder of the session. Note that you have to drive over them pretty exactly to get points. They may seem somewhere they aren’t if you aren’t zoomed in very far.
