Traffic in Ponta Verde Altered for Samba School Parades

This Friday (8), from 6 p.m. to midnight, traffic on Silvio Carlos Viana Avenue, in the Rua Aberta area in Ponta Verde, will be blocked for Maceió’s samba school parades. The measure will also continue on Saturday, from 5 p.m. to midnight, in the section from the Thalassa building to Marco dos Corais.

Roadwork to close Álvaro Calheiros Avenue overpass ramp this Sunday (16)

This Sunday (16), the Álvaro Calheiros Avenue overpass ramp, in the Mangabeiras neighborhood, will be closed for drainage system restoration work. The work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m.

Alternative routes in neighborhoods affected by soil subsidence will have new paths

Changes will take place starting Monday (7); street will be blocked for demolition work in the area.

The closure will be on Ernesta Gama Street and a new section of Francisco Freire Ribeiro Street will be open until José da Silveira Camerino Street to facilitate circulation in the area.

New traffic direction changes take effect in the Poço neighborhood on October 11

Next Saturday (11), three roads in the Poço neighborhood will undergo direction changes. Rua Lourenço de Souza Alencar will become one-way heading toward Avenida Brasil. Rua Ruth Reis, in the section between Rua Pedro Américo and Rua Lourenço de Souza Alencar, will be one-way heading toward Rua Lourenço de Souza Alencar. Rua Elza Soriano, in turn, will become one-way heading toward Rua Pedro Américo.

The changes were defined by the Municipal Department of Transport and Traffic (DMTT), through the Executive Directorate of Traffic Engineering and Mobility, with the goal of organizing flow in an area where parking on both sides of the road generated constant conflicts in two-way traffic. The situation was also aggravated by the presence of traffic-generating hubs, such as a youth soccer school and residential buildings.

The roads undergoing the change in direction are not part of public transport routes, and there will be no parking restrictions.

Bebedouro will have traffic detours for railway line reconstruction

The work is expected to continue until June 2026. During this period, traffic will be diverted with a physical blockade at the access to Rua Pedro Beltrão. Vehicle access will also be closed on Rua José Moreira, where the railway line crosses and where traffic currently flows. Another point is at the intersection of Rua Dr. Passos de Miranda (Ladeira do Calmon) and Rua Vereador Bruno Ferrari.

With these access points closed, drivers heading down Ladeira do Calmon towards the lagoon should turn right onto Rua Vereador Bruno Ferrari, left onto Rua Dr. Antônio Nunes Leite, and then access Rua Cônego de Castro.

Rua Dr. Antônio Nunes Leite, which is currently a bus-only lane, will be opened to other vehicles while the blockades are in effect. Drivers traveling along Rua Cônego de Castro who wish to go up Ladeira do Calmon will not have their route changed.

I believe the detour is no longer being used, as the road has been reopened. There’s even a UR at the location (https://waze.com/pt-BR/editor?env=row&lat=-9.61842&lon=-37.78728&zoomLevel=20&mapComments=458894&mapUpdateRequest=25805247).

It really isn’t, we had already converted some changes. But everything is fine now. Once the map updates, we can remove the closure and the parallel segments. Thanks for the heads-up, @A0Itabaiana!

New U-turn starts operating on Av. Durval de Góes Monteiro on Saturday (28)\n\n> The new road configuration changes the U-turn movements, which will now be made from the service roads. The main change happens for those on Avenida Galba Novais de Castro who want to continue along Avenida Durval de Góes Monteiro towards the Airport. These drivers will need to enter the service road and wait at the traffic light to complete the U-turn and head towards Tabuleiro do Martins.\n> \n> Those coming along Av. Durval de Góes Monteiro towards Downtown who want to return to Tabuleiro do Martins or continue to Jardim Petrópolis must enter the service road just after the traffic light at Lojas Imperador and wait at the U-turn traffic light to perform the maneuver and continue to their destination.\n\nAdjustments made now, expected to be on the map on March 28.\n\nPermalink.

Intersection in Jacintinho changes starting Sunday (29)\n\n> The main change is the adoption of a small section with inverted traffic flow under the viaduct. In practice, those traveling on Rua Cleto Campelo (in both directions) will enter this section to cross the intersection or access the Leste-Oeste ramps and then return to the normal traffic flow.\n\n

Emergency work closes a stretch of street in Tabuleiro do Martins this Wednesday (08)

With the closure of the first block of Rua Dr. José Afonso de Farias Melo Neto, two streets in the area will operate as one-way. They are:

• Rua Santa Amália: will operate in the direction for those traveling from Rua Santa Luzia to Rua Dr. José Afonso de Farias Melo Neto.

• Rua Leão: will operate in the direction for those traveling from Rua Dr. José Afonso de Farias Melo Neto to Rua Santa Luzia.
