Hi,
NZTA state the inbound lane to Riverhead is closed from 7am-7pm till Wednesday.

I was there about an hour ago and it was open. They re designed the intersection and took away the right turn lane for coatesville highway. You can successfully turn right from highway 16 onto coatesville. It says the restrictions are up for two more days, so maybe they’ll come back tomorrow or wednesday to finish up work on the new curbs?

It already has a closure to prevent routing thru the intersection.
Until we hear from NZTA (Waka Kotahi) as to the future of the road.
