Hi. Not sure if this is what chat is for, but does anyone know why Waze selected this very odd route?
I was routed off the A337 onto Shelley Close only to be routed back again.
Unfortunately Waze will have a habit of diverting off a major route like this, particularly if the major route gets stuffed from time to time. As an editor you can “hack” the map a bit by making such roads private though you need to be careful. As a driver you can either drive through the main route to signal to Waze that it’s clear or, alternatively, drive the detour (slowly) to give Waze some data on that. There “may” be some benefit in adding an extra node on the detour route but this is an as yet unclear issue.
