For a couple weeks now, PA 944 (Wertzville Road, Middlesex township, Cumberland county) has been closed for construction. The state has marked the road closed at Bernheisel Bridge Road and Rich Valley Roads. It is actually possible however to get to Deer Lane if you don’t make the turn at Rich Valley. Construction is a bridge just west of Deer Lane. I think it will be closed for a good while yet, so Waze should stop recommending the road.
