The Partial restrictions page discusses Time Based Turn Restrictions and Time Based Segment Restrictions.
It was updated to include Difficult Turns but nothing on the new Segment Restrictions with the two popup windows.
First wanted to see what people’s opinions are about breaking this up into two pages: TBTR and TBSR.
Second, even if this is to stay one page, we need to update the TBSR portion. So I have started this draft page.
I am only through the toll attribute and just starting on the one way and two way restrictions.
I will post when done with that portion. There are important rules that are not intuitively obvious to many editors. Especially the way that the various restrictions interact between each other. Basically there are AND and OR statements.
Most of the second page will come from the HOV page that been working on.
Ok. With the exception of the section on Restriction Type section where I need to describe all three types and go over the “OR” comparison and the “AND” comparison for the way restrictions are used.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations on the rest of the descriptions.
I vote for keeping TBSRs and TBTRs on the same page. The interface is still very similar, as are the use cases, so it would be helpful to see all the info in one place
I agree with keeping them on the same page. As stated by kartografer, the information is very similar. Plus the less pages to drill down through, the less of a chance for missing something.
Beyond the caveat that Prohibited/Allowed restriction types not be mixed, I’d recommend that no restrictions overlap. This may require a couple more individual restrictions but I don’t think it’s that much more work for much better clarity.
