As I was reading through the Private Installations article, I found the section below under “B. Preventing Other Editors from Making Mistakes” to be outdated.

Novice editors or experienced editors that are not paying attention, may accidentally connect these roads when they should not be connected. One should lock these segments. One may also put a signpost only available to editors noting this issue. Until Waze implements signposts for editors, one may use Live Map to inert a Problem Report at the location, then go back to that report in the editor and enter a note such as “Do not delete this report. Fence gate at this location is always closed.” This should alert and remind editors that the roads should not be connected.

I’d recommend this language to use map comments rather than a UR for blocked roads at the installation boundary.

A map comment should be placed at the fence or gate to notify editors that it is permanently blocked by fence/gate. These segments and the map comment should be locked at Rank 5 to prevent connection by in error.

Related to that, with the table of contents on the article giving section numbers to 8.1-8.4, it seems unnecessary to label those sections as A, B, C, and D. Other similar areas aren’t labeled as such. Should those letters be removed?

Looks like a good update to bring the guidance in line with what’s now available to us in the editor.

I don’t think it would hurt anything to leave the labels, but if it cleans it up and brings this page into alignment with the majority of others, I can support removal.

I wanted to check back in to see if there’s any other feedback before making the change. I’ll give it another couple of days and if no one objects, I’ll make the change with turbomkt’s correction.
