To become an Area Manager, use the edit map, position the map and set the zoom level to show the area you want to manage.
First make sure you are in the correct server:

https://www.waze.com/editor (if you are in USA/ CANADA)
https://world.waze.com/editor (Rest of the world)

Click on Permalink (located at the bottom of the screen on the right side):

Then copy the address from the address bar in your browser:
Should look something like this:

Email that link to areamanagers@waze.com with your Waze username and your email address and the message subject: Area Manager application request.

There can be more than one Area Manager in the same area. Areas can overlap, or be smaller or larger. And you can be the Area Manager for more than one area.

i am based out of Lahore, Pakistan, and am pretty familiar with the road network in the city. Would love to connect with other Wazers in the city.

I’ve been trying to edit certain parts of the motorway that a previous mod had edited and caused navigation to break but it requires a level 4 mod. I’m a level 2 at the moment. I’ve messaged them in the past but without results.

I’m not sure but I think you mean the amount of Area Managers? Normally Waze announce this at regional or local meetups.
