PH on non-routable segments such as railways or runways

Hello,
Since the “unknown” direction of travel was removed, it is now possible to place permanent hazards on all railroad and runway segments. Unfortunately, this can also happen accidentally, and then, for example, the Waze user is not properly warned before a railroad crossing.
My suggestion: Please adjust WME so that Permanent Hazards can no longer be placed on railroad and runway segments, as was the case back when the “Unknown” direction could still be set for these segments.

Thank you very much.

PHs could never be added to segments with an unknown direction. Now there are simply no more “new” segments with an unknown direction, and we have to create railway segments with “both directions.” It is indeed possible to set PHs on these segments. But this quickly leads to errors, because PHs shouldn’t be set there—after all, who are we trying to warn on these non-drivable segments?

Hi @heetENkoel,

Thank you for your response and providing more context. An internal bug has been opened to address this.
I will keep you posted on further updates.
In the meantime, I’ll move your post to the relevant bugs section.

All the best,
Olesya
